Professional achievements.
1999
Received the Hialeah Police Department's administrative excellence award for
the AFIS project. (Automated Fingerprint Identification System)
Identified the problems with the current system in use, made and instituted the
recommendations for change, these included:
Evaluation and recommendations for changes to the system and personnel in
use at the time.
Evaluation and comparison of the various available systems.
Purchase of a new AFIS station to work with the upgraded systems used by the
County, State and Federal Governments .
The recruitment, interviewing and hiring of  latent examiners to operate the new
system, training and orientation in the HPD protocols and methodology.
Case closure from identification of unknown suspect's fingerprints collected from
crime scenes changed from 14 cases the previous calendar year to over 1200
cases the following 12 months, these totals includes open cases from previous
years.

1996
Received the Hialeah Police Department's  outstanding technical support Award
for updating the Unit's report forms and upgrading the  unit's photography, crime
scene and latent fingerprint equipment.

1992
Received the Hialeah Police Department's  outstanding Supervisor Award less
than 90 days after being promoted to a Supervisory position.

1989 to 1992
Member of the City of Hialeah Retirement Board of Trustees.
One of the group of four that acted to take control of the system by the Board
and its member from the City Administration, producing the following results:
Fund's performance changed from being one the lowest quartile performing
systems in the State to the top quartile performers in less than two years.
Administrative and operating costs reduced by 75%.
Members retirement benefits increased by 50%.
City contributions to the system reduced from 24% of payroll to 13% in two years.
Fund grew from $292 million to over $600 millions.

1986
Founded H. Gonzalez and Associates, Forensic Consultants, providing services
for the Legal Profession and Insurance industry.

1981 to 1992
Hialeah Police Department, one of the yearly  top three CSI in the unit's (13
total)  for number of unknown suspects identified and arrested by evidence.

1978 to 1980
Garcia Gun Center. Within
three months became the company's  number one
sales representative
, became store merchandise buyer in less than six months,
introduced new lines of products, increasing  total sales by 20%
. Maintained
same for length of employment with the company.

1975
Started and operated a highly successful photography business, H. Gonzalez,
Photography, specializing on high end clientel.

1973
Rich Photos. Photographer, quality controller and custom printer. Obtained
position after three months of training and internship at a local photo lab to join
Miami's best rated and highest grossing professional photo lab.
